Ok, this may sound cheesy, but since the next major upcoming holiday is Valentine's day, I think the next contest should be themed around that.

I live in the small city of Granby. It is located in the province of Quebec, which, is located in Canada. I'm still living with my parents, which I know is kinda lame considering my age (you do the math :-D) BUT, I have a full-time job now and if everything goes well, I should have a place of my own this summer.
Favorite Books?
I love anything that is fantasy related. Real life stories are a little boring to me. I love stories that will make my imagination run wild and forget about the world I live in, just leave and take a trip to a magical time and place. Right now, my favorite series of books are The Knights of Emerald (Les chevaliers d'emeraude). It is a series of French books by a French author that are simply amazing. I don't know if they have been translated in English yet, but I know that a translation was in the works last time I checked the website.
Also, as you can tell by my style, I read a lot of manga. I own well over 300 books and sadly, my collection continues to grow, in fact, it has grown so much that I ran of place to put my books in

Favorite Shows?
Prison Break, HEROES, LOST, The amazing Race, The Ghost Whisperer, Every Body Loves Raymond ( I know its not on the air anymore, but I have the dvds), Gilmore Girls,Titus (on dvd, truly one of the best comedies EVER)...and thats all about what I can think of right now...maybe some more will come back to me in time, but the first shows I stated are those that I follow on a regular basis this season, I know, I watch too much tv.
What inspires you to draw?
Good question. I would have to stay, my mood. When I want to draw something, I just do it...sometimes, I can stare at a blank piece of paper, doodle something, and end with something I hate and then I wonder why I tried to draw something in the first place...Other times, I just pick up my pencil, my tablet, scribble something whitout having anything specific in mind and come with something I totally adore. I would have though, that because I'm into anime and such, I draw a lot of fanart, so I would have to say that the particular series I enjoy the most inspire me to draw.
Which artists inspire you most?
My current style, I would have to say, is a mixture of CLAMP and Nobuhiro Watsuki (author and artist of Ruroni Kenshin). I was into Kenshin a lot back in the day, I always love his simple, yet beautiful style. Over the years, I've developped a style that is more my own, but I still have a bit of old "copy fanart" roots left in me.
What advice do you have for those other artists out there?
PRACTICE!!! Its all I can tell. We all have the ability to draw dormant in us. If you think you suck and don't take a little time to try and improve your skills, you'll never get any better...So just keep trying, find tutorials if you think it will help you, but always continue to practice and pat yourself on the back when you come up with something good.
Who is your fave Firefly character?
Kaylee. She's just so natural. She's one of the rare members of the crew that doesn't seem to hide anything. A simple girl with a simple past (and sometimes, a lot of lust) that brings a touch of simplicity and humor to this sci-fi epic of a show.
Do you 'ship' any pairings from the show?
Mal and Inara. They fit together perfectly, even if they won't admit it, and I love the "sexual tension" that can sometimes build up when they are together in a room...alone. A lot of scenes that were either deleted from the movie or in the episodes that never aired show that even more, and I love those!
Were you a Firefly fan when it first aired or did you pick it up years after, how long have you been a fan?
I used to be a fateful viewer every time it aired on FOX during its first and only season. I was crushed when I learned it was being cancelled and wondered why? It was such a well written, well balanced show...why was it that it was not getting the hook?
I was surprised to see Mr. Weedon make a movie of a few years later. Although I do not agree completely with is ending, I am happy he tried to make the series complete for its many, many fans out there.
