    Internet/game name:
    Aerin

    Nationality:
    US

    Fav shows (in no order):
Firefly, Doctor Who (classics and new), Sherlock (BBC), Chuck, Big Bang Theory, Terra Nova, White Collar, Grimm, Once Upon a Time, Psych, Merlin (just started watching it), Myth Busters, Eureka, Stargate SG-1 and SG-Atlantis... think that's most of them.

    Fav Firefly pairing:
I really like Kaylee and Simon together, it's just so cute. My favorite scene with the two of them was during Jayne's Town and they had been drinking and Simon started to open up when Mal interrupts them. Mal always has the best timing to ruin the moment.

How long have I been a Firefly Fan:
Ever since I saw the movie. I was never able to catch it at the right time on tv, so I never watched an episode before seeing the movie. After seeing the movie I went and got the DVD set and watched them and fell in love with the show, the characters, and the quirks and humor that was there.

    Inspirations:
Since my art focus is primarily Science- Fiction and Fantasy, I look at lot of other people's art, movies, books, games, shows. I figure out what I like about that piece, whatever it is, and play off of it to get my own piece to either expand on the element I like or to try exploring a different perspective or approach.

    Advice for other artist:
Don’t STOP! That’s the number one thing you should never do. Never stop drawing even if people we down talk your work. The fact that you are showing your work to people is a very brave step. People will always criticize your work no matter what level you are and some of that will be good advice to help you grow or bad to make you feel like crap. I know I had some instructors that would tear apart my art work and find every single thing wrong with it, but they aren’t doing it to make me feel like my art is worthless, they do it because they want to push you in the right direction and they know you can be better. One teacher pointed out all of the wrongs of one piece I did that took me days of countless hours to make and I swore I was going to get a bad grade, however, later I found that he had given me an A, even after all of the bad things he pointed out to me. There’s always room for improvement if you never stop drawing.
